Task 6 Planning the adverts: (U20: P2, P3, M2,D1)

The Phizz Wizard Plan for the Cross Media Advertising Campaign/Voice Presentation: (U20:P2, M2) M2 (U20): Justify the choice of planned components by targeted media sector The vast majority of advertisement campaigns perpetrated by large companies tend to have two or three different modes of showcasing their product(s). This is especially the case for drink companies which tend to have posters out in public places such as billboards and transport links as well as having video advertisements for television and the internet.  However, as Phizz Wizard is meant to be shown for two age groups being 13-18 year olds and 30 somethings, we can target a media medium that Phizz Wizard's competitors are ignoring. Because Phizz Wizard has a set target audience unlike most soda companies that try to target everyone, it in fact has an advantage because they can exploit this weakness and take advantage of the fact that the 30 somethings in their target demographic tend to consume news and med...

Task 5: Job Roles (U24: P4, M2, D2)

P4 (U24): Explain the behaviours and attributes required for a specific job role The Marketing Director's role A marketing director develops the brand of companies, the brand's marketing strategies and develops long term strategies for the company's growth. A marketing director is one of the top roles in any advertising firm; they report primarily to the client, and will have a large team working under them, from graphic designers to copywriters to office assistants. A marketing director will oversee a project from its inception to completion, and will be therefore be involved in the planning stages of a campaign, the execution of it, and the final evaluation. Personal Attributes An ideal marketing director would be able to successfully motivate his/her employees to do specific tasks the right way and to therefore not hinder the progress of the company's marketability. The marketing director would also be able to successfully discipline employees who have n...

Task 8 Evaluate the adverts (Unit 20: M3,D2)

Explain how the created media components comply with the codes and conventions of the media sectors (U20 M3) For our television advertisement, we were heavily inspired by the idea of infomercials by both their large viewerships by our older demographic and the comedic element our younger demographic would see in them. This can be shown by the huge social media views and followings of Infomercial hosts such as Phil Swift, Billy Mays and products such as Oxi Clean, the Flex seal range of products and the Slap Chop. Because of the huge numbers of views and likes the videos showcasing these products by their hosts get, and because those video sharing websites' main demographics consist of teenagers (the younger target audience), it seemed like a good idea to base the video around the infomercial premise. The idea to make the video look old by putting a grainy filter over it and by filming the video in a 3:2 ratio was purposely done to appeal to the older demographic by giving the adv...

Task 7 Create The Adverts (Unit 20: P4, M2)

Image
Learning Outcome 3 (U20): Be able to produce the planned media components For Phizz Wizzard we made three adverts a billboard, a magazine and a video advert. This is because we then have different ways to reach target audiences of different ages who were marketed to buy the drink. The theme through out the marketing campaign was that the drink was being sold by a retro-type infomercial salesman in a parodic way to reach both age group target audiences. The Advertisement for the billboard and magazine The Magazine Advertisement The Television Commercial Audience Feedback When asking audience feedback to both of the product's target audiences, the 13-18 year olds said how they liked how the advert seemed less like it was promoting a product and more like a funny video they found on the internet. This was exactly the reaction my team and I were hoping to get from said audience. Because of the over saturation of adverts in teenagers lives, whether they're c...
